When applying, keep in mind that delays in processing time are most often related to incomplete applications. Use the checklist below to ensure you submit all necessary information and paperwork!

  • I have answered all questions in each section of the application.
  • I have enclosed a readable copy of my valid photo identification.
  • I have provided Social Security numbers and birth dates for all members of my household with the application.
  • I have attached documentation of all monthly household income (pay stubs, award letters, etc.) with the application.
  • I have signed my application.

What happens after I apply?

  • Applications are reviewed to determine eligibility within 15 days of receipt. The local community action agency will contact you regarding your application after the initial review.
