The Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS) program produces employment and wage estimates for over 800 occupations. These are estimates of the number of people employed in certain occupations and the wages paid to them. The OEWS estimates are not designed to be a comparison of two or more points in time. This is due to changes in classification systems, data collection methods, survey reference periods, and estimation methodologies that have occurred over time.
This information is the result of an occupational employment and wage survey conducted by Labor Market Information, in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics.
For more information regarding the Occupational Employment Report, please view the following video:
Geographic Coverage: Statewide and Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs).
Frequency: Employment - Annually; Wages - Quarterly.
Estimates are based on Standard Occupational Classification Codes.
