CDBG-MIT Citizen Advisory Committee

Citizen Advisory Committee for Mitigation

The Citizen Advisory Committee for Mitigation will serve as a liaison between the communities and citizens located in State and HUD designated Most Impacted and Distressed (MID) areas and DEO.

Representation on the committee will be established on a regional basis coinciding with the Florida Division of Emergency Management Regional Coordination teams. These regions cover the portion of the state that was impacted by Hurricanes Hermine, Matthew, Irma and Michael. Each eligible region will have one Regional Representative to serve on the committee and act in advisory capacity to the CDBG-MIT program.

The Department received many qualified applications for the Citizen Advisory Committee for Mitigation and is in the process of reviewing applications.

To ensure representation from all regions, DEO is extending the deadline for applications and nominations for recovery regions 1 and 6 through June 11, 2021. Interested parties may use the application below to apply or nominate an individual to serve on the Committee.

  • April 30, 2021 - Initial application/nomination period opened.
