MOBILE ONE-STOP CAREER CENTER
The Mobile One-Stop Career Center will be available to the Governor, the Regional Workforce Boards (RWB), AWI, Workforce Florida, Inc. (WFI) and other private and public entities that have workforce related needs and purposes that the center can serve. Suggested uses for the Mobile Center are: responding to workforce reductions; attending trade shows, job fairs and expositions; targeting youth and elder services at schools, senior centers, boot camps, etc.; targeting military personnel and spouses making plans to enter or re-enter the civilian workforce; providing services to rural communities; visiting employer organization meetings to promote knowledge of and use of equipment and services in both the mobile and brick and mortar career centers; and for providing tutorial and workforce skills training. It is also a key component of our disaster assistance response services.
The Mobile One-Stop Career Center is a self-contained vehicle equipped with state-of-the-art telecommunications equipment capable of being deployed inside or outside of the vehicle. The Mobile Center will offer a full array of employment, reemployment and employer services. It contains 9 computer workstations and a training room that can accommodate 8 additional computer stations that have Internet access for filing unemployment compensation claims, filing intake applications for welfare recipients, searching through automated job banks and providing skills training.
