Agency for Workforce Innovation Issued Guidance

**Important Workers' Compensation Information for Regional Workforce Boards**

All front line staff must follow these procedures when reporting a workers' compensation claim for all Welfare Transition (WT) and Food Stamp Employment and Training (FSET) participants who engage in a Community Service or Work Experience site: Immediately call OptaComp., the State of Florida's vendor who handles all workers' compensation claims, at (877) 518-2583 to report the injury/incident. Give the location code of 1109 and tell the operator that the claim is for either a volunteer with the WT or FSET program. This is very important since OptaComp handles all claims for state employees as well.
