UNEMPLOYMENT APPEALS COMMISSION
The Unemployment Appeals Commission, a quasi-judicial administrative appellate body, is the highest level for administrative review of contested unemployment cases decided by appeals referees. It is 100% federally funded.
THE COMMISSION
Pursuant to Chapter 443, Florida Statutes, the Commission has three members, a full-time chairman and two part-time members, appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate. By statute, not more than one commissioner may, by virtue of past association or employment, be a representative of labor or management. The Chairman of the Commission serves as chief executive and administrative officer of the agency.
