Short Time Compensation Information
Short Time Compensation is a special claims program that pays partial benefits to groups of employees working reduced hours. Employers may elect to participate in this program to retain valued employees by reducing hours for an entire group of employees instead of resorting to temporary layoffs.

Unemployment Compensation for Ex-Service Members
The Unemployment Compensation for Ex-service Members (UCX) program provides benefits for eligible ex-military personnel. Former members of the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration and the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps are also covered under the UCX program.

If you were on active duty with a branch of the U.S. military and are now unemployed, you may be entitled to benefits. Compensation under the UCX program is paid by each state’s Employment Security agencies in accordance with agreements between the states and the U.S. Secretary of Labor. Claims are taken in accordance with the Florida Unemployment Law and Regulations.

If you think you are eligible, you can file a claim through the Florida Internet Claims Filing System (CONNECT).
