The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO), Office of Partnership Engagement serves as the central resource for providing information on economic opportunities in the state of Florida. Our mission is to build partnerships at the local, regional and statewide level in the public and private sectors.

About Us

The Office of Partnership Engagement was created to build networks with the agency’s public-private partners in order to energize Florida’s economy. We connect Florida’s economic development leaders with programs and resources to enhance opportunities to diversify and grow Florida’s economy.

Through agency programs and partnership engagement we aim to:

  • Strengthen relationships between DEO and our public-private partnerships to collaborate on statewide projects.
  • Streamline the communication between local communities, key economic development partners and Florida’s businesses.
  • Identify and engage DEO partners, communities, local leaders and businesses.
  • Build connections with federal partners, such as Small Business Administration (SBA), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and other national business organizations and associations.
  • Educate our partners on the DEO resources and programs to stimulate economic development and business growth for Florida.
