Economic Investment Map

The Economic Investment Map is an interactive tool designed to increase transparency about the robust and strategic investments being made in Florida’s communities. Under Governor DeSantis’ leadership, the Florida Department of Commerce is advancing Florida’s economy through direct investments in workforce development and training; safe, healthy, and resilient communities; and promoting global competitiveness and a pro-business climate.

Awards by County provide a county-by-county snapshot of investments made by fiscal year in five key areas with more to come in the near future: Disaster Recovery and Resiliency, Economic Self-Sufficiency, Employment and Training, First Responders, and Infrastructure.

Disaster Recovery and Resiliency includes direct awards made to individuals and communities recovering from the impacts of Hurricanes Irma (2017) and Michael (2018). These awards include housing, including single-family and affordable workforce housing, infrastructure, and mitigation.

Economic Self-Sufficiency includes direct awards made to designated communities and Community Action Agencies, on behalf of low- and moderate-income families to provide services and support.

Employment and Workforce Training includes direct awards made to individuals and workforce development and training entities to meet the needs of Florida’s businesses and job seekers.

First Responders includes direct awards made to essential front-line workers for their sacrifice and contributions during the COVID-19 Pandemic (March 2020 to June 2021). Florida Commerce provided qualified disaster relief payments of up to $1,000 to Florida's First Responders in recognition of their courage, sacrifice, and dedication.

Infrastructure includes direct awards made to urban and rural communities to help increase resiliency and spur economic activity.

Funds and Programs by Investment Category provide a county-by-county snapshot of the number and amount of direct recipients of investments made by fiscal year across five key areas. Fiscal year data may be updated beyond the fiscal year to account for year-end close-out activities.
