COCOA, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott attended the grand opening of Walmart’s new distribution center in Cocoa that has created 400 new jobs. The new facility is the ninth Walmart Distribution Center in Florida and will distribute food to approximately 40 Walmart stores in the state. At the event, Governor Scott highlighted the state’s unemployment rate of 3.7 percent, the lowest level since April 2007, and the success of Florida businesses to create nearly 1.6 million private-sector jobs since December 2010.
