Announcement Kicks Off Gov. Scott Leading Trade Mission to California Next Week

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Today, Governor Rick Scott announced that B. Braun Medical Inc. will be opening their first location in Florida. This follows a meeting Governor Scott held with B. Braun during his domestic trade mission to Pennsylvania last year. B. Braun, the 10th largest global medical device manufacturer, will be establishing a manufacturing facility in Daytona Beach and creating 175 new jobs. The company will also be making a $100 million capital investment in the local community. This announcement leads up to Governor Scott’s domestic trade mission he is leading to California next week to encourage companies to move and expand in Florida.

Governor Rick Scott said, “I am proud to announce today that our work to bring B. Braun to Florida has paid off, and that the company has chosen Florida as the best location to grow and create 175 new jobs. Next week, I will be leading another domestic trade mission to California to share our success story with California businesses and encourage them to come to Florida. While California and Pennsylvania leaders are working to increase regulations and taxes for job creators, we are working to make it easier for businesses to succeed so they can create new jobs for our families. Today’s announcement shows our domestic trade missions are working to bring new opportunities to our state.”
