If you have received an adverse FloridaCommerce reemployment assistance appeals referee’s decision, you have the right to appeal that decision to the Reemployment Assistance Appeals Commission.

Filing an Appeal with the Commission

By law, for the Commission to review a case, the appeal must be filed within 20 calendar days of the date of the referee's decision. An appeal to the Commission must be in writing and contain the following information:

  • The name, social security number and claimant ID (if available) of each claimant involved;
  • The name and employer number (if available) of each employer involved;
  • The date, subject matter, and docket number of the decision; and
  • A brief statement of the reasons for disagreement with the decision.

An appeal to the Commission should be filed directly with the Reemployment Assistance Appeals Commission. Failure to file an appeal directly with the Commission with the above information may cause an extreme delay in the Commission's ability to review your case.

An appeal can be filed through the Commission's designated internet filing system on this web site or by mail, fax or hand delivery.

File an Appeal to the Commission Online

Appeals filed over the Commission's designated internet filing system shall be considered filed when received by the Commission. File your Appeal Online.

Note: An "internet" appeal to the Commission can be filed with the Commission only over the Commission's designated internet filing system (link provided above). The Commission maintains a separate internet filing system than that used by the Department of Economic Opportunity Office of Appeals (the appeals referees), through the CONNECT System.
